The Slower, Softer Side of Yoga.....Yin

 The many specific benefits of yoga for mid-life and beyond are touted frequently in the mainstream news. Yin Yoga excels at healthy aging. I know this from personal experience. Yin is a powerful tool to aid in stiffness and inner tensions of the body and mind. No matter your starting point, flexibility is a result - NOT a requirement - of this practice. Increased balance and strength come naturally.
 
This is a strong, soothing, restorative practice. In teaching I use props (chairs, pads, blankets), as needed, to support you in experiencing a relaxed body and alert yet ever so calm mind.
